PostSubject: Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo   Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo Icon_minitimeFri Aug 10, 2012 2:35 pm

Okay, I know that I joined the forum, and group, in February (almost March), but I haven't been very active on the forum and I want to change that. Therefore - I shall formally introduce myself.
Hmm, where to start? I guess I'll start with my name... Okay, here I go:

I'm Anna, I am 15 years old and my passion is horses. I absolutely adore them and I go riding and work at the barn almost all the time. I'm homeschooled, so I have a tendency to be kind of introverted, but I'm trying to get over it 'cause I don't want to miss out on some things in life just because I don't like talking to people (although I talk a lot, and I mean A LOT, if I'm nervous or I'm really comfortable with a person). Also because of my homeschooling, I read a lot and, therefore, tend to use a lot of big words that nobody I know seem to understand. Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 3540225415 Anyway, if anything I say seems a bit stiff - it's probably 'cause I'm not very good at expressing myself in writing (whereas if I were to talk to you face-to-face I could explain myself a whoooooole lot better). Ummmmm, oh! I'm obssessed with zombies at the moment (vampires are so over-romanticized these days, Dracula was so much better than Edward; Just sayin'). My favorite tv show is The Walking Dead. I am currently learning German (officially anyway, I know tidbits of at least 10 languages) and apparently it has integrated itself into my brain so well that I sometimes accidentally use a German word instead of an English one. Hmmm what else should I put? Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 1231288365 Ah, I found Lemon Tea on mangaupdates.com and saw their recruitment thread and that they needed proofreaders so I went ahead and joined the forum to pm Mio. She gracefully let me join and, viola, here I am Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 1434882655 I must say that I think the idea of a scanlation group that scans the mangas others dropped is fantastic! I can't even count how many times I've been really sucked into a manga, only to find out that it has been dropped Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 511594056 I'm so glad to be a part of this group.

I can't think of anything else to put but if you have a questions please feel free to ask. I'm better at answering questions than coming up with info about my self all on my own. Although, looking at what I wrote, I really did write quite a bit **blush**

Hullo and nice to meet you!! Ahaha! XD

I totally agree with you about that vampire thingy, ever since Twilight came out, everything related to vampires went plummeting downhill. Imagine my dismay. I love vampires. Twilight desecrated my imagination. Lurlz. bounce

Oh and I love the German language! I know a bit of it, or rather just what my friends taught me. I enjoy listening in to their conversations though I don't really understand 98% of the time. There's something...manly...about the language, for lack of a better term. XDD

hahaha I know right?! Whenever I see Robert Pattison I just start ranting about how vampiric literature, especially of the youth variety, has taken a ski trip and I don't think there are any ski lifts at that resort XD. Well I start ranting about that after I finish pondering how a person could be that ugly Razz I seriously think that only Russel Brand is uglier that Pattison.

Oh Yay! If you want I could teach you some (I don't know how good of a teacher I'd be, but it could be worth a shot haha Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 3540225415 ). You could surprise your friends haha It is a rather many sounding language; probably because of how guttural it is. I love how none of my family knows German so when I'm mad I can rant about things and they just give me the Suspect look XD

Hello Anna, it was nice reading your introduction, you seem to be a really kind person.

Homeschooled? That's soooo coooolll, ohmygosh.
I've never met a homeschooled person before, congratulations for being the first one. Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 4019512717

How is it? Do you have a tutor or do your parents teach you?
Do you learn all normal subjects everyone see at school, or do you focus your studies in something particular?
Do you have any hobbies besides horse riding?

Oh, and being introverted is normal nowadays. Though I'm not homeschooled, I'm a reaaaaally shy person. I was bullied at school, so maybe that's why. Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 3242698690

I saw they were releasing a new movie about an over-romanticized zombie, just like twilight... It's called Warm Bodies. Hahah, I wonder what will come next... Romantic bogeyman?

Oh, and sorry if I threw so many questions at you... It's just curiosity... x_x

haha Thank you for the congratulations! Homeschooling has it's pros and cons. One downside is that you have to be with your family all day (which can get quite annoying when you have a little brother). My favorite thing about homeschooling would be a toss-up between being able to eat whenever I want (even while I'm doing school mwahahahaha XD) and the fact that I can learn at my own pace. Anyway, I have all my subjects online so my parents don't really do anything unless I'm having trouble with something, then I usually some and ask them for help. Other than that, they don't have anything to do with my school other than pay for it **bleh** I'm pretty sure I'm learning what every other high school student in America is learning. I'm not 100% sure though 'cause I've never been to public school so I have no clue what they're learning.

Mio-sama wrote:

Umm I don't really have any other true "hobbies". I enjoy reading (both manga and books) and I collect teacups (I guess you could call that a hobby). I buy a teacup from every country I've been to. So far I have 10 that I bought myself and about 15 that my grandma bought for me when she visited other countries. I also like taking picture with my cheap, little digital camera. I'm not very good (at least I don't think so, but "one's worst critic is one's self", right?) but I enjoy and that's what really counts. Yeah, I wouldn't really call them those hobbies, but they're some other things that I enjoy.

Bulling is such a problem in schools :/ My cousin (who's 6) was bullied. I wanted to beat those kids with a baseball bat. Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 1494738294 Kids can be so mean to each other... **boude**

NOOOOOO Not my zombies! Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 511594056 **punch** Gosh, are they out to ruin everything?!?! XD Yeah, seriously though, why does everything have to be romance (although I have to say that in most mangas I read, if there isn't any romance - the plot seems to go all over the place, or not exist at all... maybe I'm just not very good at picking manga to read XD)? I read a lot of great books that don't have any of that in it. I could swear that authors are trying to brainwash my generation...

Mio-sama wrote:

Don't worry about it Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 3242698690 I did say to ask questions, didn't I? Besides, I can't exactly criticise you for asking questions when I probably would've asked about 10 more if I'd been in your place hahaha

I find it amazing when people can speak French, because I tried to learn it, but I got so discombobulated by all the extra letters and stuff that I gave up. It's really cool that your mom teaches your siblings German. It's really good to know another language. I love going to a country when you can fluently speak the language XD When my family took a trip to Berlin; our German tour guide looked so shocked when I went up to him and asked him when we were going to go back to the hotel and sleep (I was soooooooo tired that day XD). He just said, in German, "You speak German fluently?" XD Everyone else in the group only knew how to say goodbye Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 3242698690 he looked so relieved to have someone who could help ease the burden of translating (even though a lot of people in Germany speak English).

Oh, so you use internet to study, that's cool. There are some universities at my country with online classes, but there still isn't a school like that. **punch**

Collecting tea cups can be considered a hobby, yes yes. That's really peculiar, I think I've never collected something before...

Well, the kids who hit me would receive a strong slap! The only thing that made me sad was all the boys calling me ugly... Now I don't know why something so trivial hurt me... But that's why I get along really well with girls nowadays (They used to protect me).
I think bully is becoming pretty normal, because children are still learning how to deal with other people... And specially the rich childs, they tend to be spoiled by their parents, there are exceptions though.

And about the zombie... Here is him: http://collider.com/wp-content/uploads/nicholas-hoult-teresa-palmer-warm-bodies-promo-image.jpg
Yeah, that was supposed to be a zombie... **boude**
Well, stories without romance are sure really rare, but it can have something else as the main theme.

Hahahaha! Poor Russel Brand, though I kind of liked him in a sort of quirky way. He's weird. I like weird. XD

^^

There was one time I told my German friend that when he talks, he sounds like French. He was mortified. I took it that he didn't like to be compared to French. I've not much exposure to the language but I think it also sounds nice. I don't know why but I find different languages very very interesting. Hello, Hola, Hällo, Bonjour, Hujambo 2968088584
