Hello All!

Recently Ive been playing A LOT of visual novels but more intrestingly
Than the ones made about anime are the fanmade ones (In my opinon)

So this thread Is about my favorite fan made VN's
Also im looking to eventually make my own VN if anyone is intrested post a reply  

Lets get started
This will be a list of fan VN's that I will put up here if anyone else wants to put some up or rate the ones I have here please do


1)Digital a love story

LENGTH: About 1 hour

This is a short VN set in 1988 on the BBS networks of yesterdays internet (before my time)
The interface is very unique compared to other VN's
the game is played out as you on a computer exploring, hacking and discovering the conspiracies below the early internet
NO H SCENES

The enjoyment of this one really depends on how intrested you are in old computer history and fake history etc
I enjoyed it a lot

2)Junipers knot

LENGTH: About 1 hour - 2 hours

This one is really good I would say better than digital
Unlike digital it has traditional VN style art which is VERY WELL DONE
it looks so nice

The story follows two charcters a younge boy lost in the woods when he stumbles upon an abandoned
chapel and finds in the delapidated main hall of the building a female demon
forever trapped in a circle

It follows the growing friendship between the two of them and the differnces in the world that have
happened since the demon was imprisoned

What will your VN be about?
I think you may do comedy scenes really well. If that fits in the story you're trying to write, it would be awesome  
And I'm really a comedy lover  

The only doujin VN I remember playing is Alistar++! It's about a girl that played MMORPG, and suddenly, someone ks(kill steal) her when she's killing the last boss, and picks up the item it dropped. Her mission is to discover who that damn guy is in real life. If she can't do that, she has to hand over all her gold to him online. There are 3 guys who can be the culprit. I had to play it three times to get him (I thought it was one of the other 2 _ _" because the villain was too obvious, and I couldn't believe it would be like that XD)

I like short stories, so I may be picking up one of those you mentioned on my free time (I'll have some days off next month)

But I mostly play romance Otome Games... My favorite one was Amnesia, but I really liked Sumire no Tsubomi, because I could choose if I was going to get a guy or a girl :DThat's awesome!

Unfortunatelly, most Visual Novels weren't translated. There aren't many groups translating them, because they're big, hacking them(to input the translation) is difficult, it takes time... I once wanted to work on translating Visual Novels... but then I realized I won't be able to do it at the same time I translated manga... and I chose manga because I can't abandon this group(my soul is bound to it, if I leave, I die, something like that).

And sorry for taking so much time to reply, though Tenma-chan gif is really cute

3)Dysfunctional Systems

LENGTH: unkown - only one chapter out

Made by the same people as junipers knot (dischan) God I love there art and music

The basic plot as I've seen is something like this

In the future people are capable of travelling to other worlds and preventing them from being destroyed
The main character Winter Is on another planet (lune I belive) and is trying to stop the utter destruction from a long feud and war

REALLY GOOD


4)Dont Take it personal babe it just aint your story

LENGTH: 3~4 hours

This has to be the strangest VN ive ever played
You play as a (hot) Male teacher who got a job at a HS in the future
Its an inside look into all the struggles of a teacher
When students fight, Break up, commit suicide etc etc
Its a VERY gritty story and not for the faint of heart

Also a girl has a crush on you....

The Biggest thing is that the school provides tablets for every student- And has backdoors into everyones tablet
You can see in real time as people gossip and back stab each other, You can see what they say about you and everything else thats going on

VERY STRANGE

Which one would you pick as the BEST?
I'm not really much into fan made VNs (since I prefer the ones done by big companies), but there are some I can't just ignore... Specially if the art is good.
After reading the summaries, I think I'll play the "4)Dont Take it personal babe it just aint your story", never heard of something like that ^^
Also, I prefer when the protagonist is a girl, unless the main character is a really funny guy (Like Tomoya from Clannad). I hate it when he's just a normal plain guy, I don't want to play as a boring character

Lol number four....Idk I overeact to stuff like when I watch an anime or play a game I will freak out

I have to admit I never played one, mostly because I seldom play games on my pc since I don't like installing them when my disk is so crowded with stuff already >_>'

but that last one with the school in future sounds interesting enough to give it a try
